I thought I'd surprise my coworkers by bringing donuts this morning but they surprised me by not showing up!

Apparently Columbus Day, although not an official holiday, is being
unofficially celebrated by most of my department. :P

I guess I'm surprising the hardworking, here-24/7 grad students instead.
